Navco International developed this new embedded infotainment platform in collaboration with Isuzu.

The ultimate infotainment experience for every Isuzu D-MAX driver and a fantastic revenue model based on this solution within the Isuzu network. This has been the starting point from which our collaboration with Isuzu was born in 2017 when we introduced our very first INTOUCH infotainment Isuzu D-MAX system.

THE PROCESS OF THIS CO-CREATION

As a partner of Isuzu we received the request to develop an Infotainment system including offline navigation. The main reason is that the New D-MAX comes without a built-in navigation system and the L and LS models only feature basic radio functionality without a touch screen or further connectivity features.
The beginning of 2020 the process had been set in motion for the development of a completely new infotainment system for the upcoming Isuzu D-MAX which is ready before the market launch.

An integrated system can only be a true fit once it has been 100% designed and tailored for the use in a specific vehicle and configured for the language that is spoken in your region.

Plug & Play installation
To ensure a quick but qualitative installation the system has been developed with the premise of it being completely Plug & Play in mind. Aside from a thorough installation manual there is also a possibility for on-site installation support on a PDI project basis.

Why an integrated Navigation module
The usage of online navigation is dependent on the coverage of the 4G network. In areas in which this coverage is not optimal smart phone based navigation will also not perform optimally.
In a vehicle that sees daily use in the employ of a diverse range of companies and organizations, having to navigate through the use of your phone is often undesirable.

The ease-of-use of Apple CarPlay / Android Auto
In those cases in which the offline navigation functionality is not required but having a touch screen infotainment system with Apple Carplay / Android Auto is still desired: there is an option of ordering the INTOUCH without a navigation module. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Should the driver desire the usage of a specific navigational or music app then it can be easily enabled through this functionality.
